The most stunning cherry blossoms in Berlin
Hundreds of trees, millions of blossoms
For cherry blossom enthusiasts, Gärten der Welt are a must-see – after all, there's no other place in Berlin where you find so many blossoms in one place. The whole site is an ocean of pink, but some spots are particularly worth a visit. Here we show you how to make the most of your Sakura visit. You can see where the 300 or so trees are located on the park map below.
Please note: The information regarding when the trees will be in bloom at each location is based on previous years’ experience and may vary.
1. Korean meadow
As soon as you enter through the North gate, you will find yourself surrounded by pink. Here, you can appreciate particularly tall cherry trees. Stand under them, enjoy the buzzing of the bees and let petals rain all over you.
When? These trees are among the first to bloom.

2. Korean Garden
Here, pink, supple crowns adorn a terrain that is modeled after a temple in Seoul. Surrounded by wooden gates, stone walls and a gushing stream you will feel like you just stepped into the Korean capital.
When? The cherry blossoms peak at the beginning of the season.

3. Japanese Garden
Precision and elegance - that's what the Japanese Garden is all about. On a loop trail, you can cross a crystalline stream, admire a meticulously kept Zen Garden and meadows. This beauty is only heightened by pastel pink trees in full bloom. Stop and cherish the petals drifting in the water. Follow the loop trail, cross the stream, visit carefully cut meadows
When? This type of tree blooms rather early, so make sure to be there by the beginning of April.
Don't miss the meadow next to the Japanese Garden, where you can find many more trees blossoming in beautiful light hues. In case you missed them, there are tall trees on the other side of the path, right next to the playground. Those bloom later in a more vibrant pink colour.

4. Chinese Garden
Nestled in between yellow forsythia, weeping willows and magnolia, there is a tall tree right next to the lake.
When? It turns pink around the middle of the season.

5. Meadow next to the Chinese Garden
If you leave the Chinese Garden in direction of the labyrinth, you step right onto an avenue of blossoming trees. Should you be in need of a beautiful place for your hanami picknick: this is it. Under the pink crowns, there is enough space for your blankets, your friends and snacks.
When? Here, you can find types of cherry blossoms that bloom very early as well as very late in the season.
