Your perfect day in the Gärten der Welt as foodies

You are the first port of call for restaurant tips among your friends, and even when travelling you are always guided by two questions: ‘What do I have to see? And what can I eat?’ This also applies to a trip to the Gärten der Welt. This will turn your trip from Bali to Italy into a culinary experience:

1. Coffee with a view

Your first highlight is still outside the Gärten der Welt: on the Kienberg, you can get an overview of the delicious hours to come. There's a coffee with a view at Wolke Sieben, and if you're really motivated, climb another 98 steps and enjoy your cappuccino from the Wolkenhain. There, 120 metres above sea level, Berlin and Brandenburg lie at your feet. You can get to the Gärten der Welt either on foot or by cable car.

2. Cottage in the English Garden

We continue in the cottage in the English Garden. From 11 a.m., you can enjoy exquisite tea and cookies under rustic wooden beams with a view of the greenery. Or you can sit on the terrace, surrounded by rose bushes, meadows and water.

3. Spicy soup at Warung Bali

As you stroll between banana trees, orchids and the Hindu temple in the Balinese garden in the tropical hall, you realise that exploring makes you hungry! Next door, at Warung Bali, you can enjoy the tropical paradise a little longer. Holiday feelings are guaranteed with a spicy noodle soup.

4. Tea ceremony in the Chinese garden

If you book in advance, you can experience something special in the Chinese Tea House in our Chinese Garden: right by the lake, surrounded by willows, pavilions and bamboo shrubs, you will take part in a tea tasting followed by a ceremony. You will learn all about the origins and characteristics of the teas and enjoy the infusions in a unique atmosphere.

5. Delicious finale at the Giardino Verde

Roasted vegetables, savoury cheese, fresh rocket: you can't miss the ‘Gärten der Welt’ pizza on your delicious trip around the world! The Italian restaurant Giardino Verde in the visitor centre also offers pasta, salads and a varied drinks menu. In the meantime, you can make plans for future visits. At our park festivals - for example Culture meets Garden, the Highland Games or the Cherry Blossom Festival - you can discover even more culinary uniqueness.
